Facebook hat heute die bereits aus Gruppen bekannte Watch Party-Funktion offiziell auch für alle Profile und Seiten vorgestellt. Damit können Facebook-Videos dieser synchron mit Freunden bzw. den Fans einer Seite angeschaut und dabei diskutiert werden:
Today we’re launching Watch Party to all Pages and people on Facebook, the next milestone in our journey to build social, interactive experiences around video on Facebook. Watch Party enables people, creators, and publishers to watch, discuss and react to playlists of videos together in real time, in a shared space.
Zudem testet Facebook ab sofort neue Funktionen für Watch Parties. Diese sollen nun auch schon im Voraus geplant werden („schedule a Watch Party“) und – wenn gewünscht – auch mit einem Live-Video kombiniert und so vom Ersteller live kommentiert werden können.
