YouTube bringt Autoplay-Videos in die Android-App
YouTube hat laut einem Bericht von 9to5Google damit begonnen, Videos im Home-Feed der Android-App automatisch abzuspielen („Autoplay-Videos“).
Dabei wird immer das sich aktuell im Sichtfeld des Zuschauers befindende YouTube-Video automatisch abgespielt. Der Ton des Videos ist dabei ausgeschaltet:
The feature automatically plays video as users browse through the Home feed. The clip that auto-starts is usually the one nearest the top of your screen. Users will first see the thumbnail, but after, a second a spinning loading indicator will appear to the left of the video duration label in the bottom-right corner.
In den Einstellungen („Autoplay on Home“) können Nutzer zudem festlegen, ob sie Autoplay-Videos in ihren Feeds sehen möchten oder nicht oder nur, wenn eine WLAN-Verbindung besteht.
