Das visuelle Netzwerk Pinterest hat im offiziellen Blog das Erreichen von 250 Millionen monatlich aktiven Nutzern (MAU’s) bekanntgegeben:
As of today, there are now more than 250 million people who use Pinterest each month. That’s a lot of people (more than the population of Brazil!). But more than the size of the number, what’s truly exciting is how all those people are using Pinterest.
Mehr als die Hälfte aller Nutzer und 80 Prozent der neuen Pinterest-Nutzer sind von außerhalb der USA. Durch eine größere Community kommen auch schneller mehr Beiträge („Pins“) hinzu. Im vergangenen Jahr gab es hier einen Anstieg um 75 Prozent. Ingesamt soll es nun mehr als 175 Milliarden Pins geben.
