Nach 360 Grad-Fotos, -Videos und dem zuletzt vorgestellten 3D-180 Video-Format, hat Facebook im 360-Blog ein neues Beitragsformat vorgestellt: 3D Fotos („3D photos“).
Today we’re starting to roll out 3D photos, a new way to share your memories and moments in time with a fun, lifelike dimension in both News Feed and VR. With technology that captures the distance between the subject in the foreground and the background, 3D photos bring scenes to life with depth and movement.
Das Format ermöglicht es, Bilder im Newsfeed durch Kippen und/oder Drehen als realistische 3D-Bilder zu betrachten. Zur Aufnahme der Bilder wird ein kompatibles Smartphone mit Doppellinse benötigt. Ab sofort befinden sich 3D Fotos im Rollout im Newsfeed und in der VR-Version von Facebook über Oculus.
